Stewardship volunteers perform a variety of duties, depending on their schedules and interests. Duties can include removing invasive species, planting native species, collecting seeds, repairing disturbed natural areas, educating the public about the restoration process, propagating plants, removing brush, trimming overgrown vegetation, replacing signs, repairing broken fencing and handrails, and helping to maintain the nursery facility.

Children ages 7 to 12 are invited to take part in this exciting program, designed to help them discover the rich natural and cultural heritage preserved in parks. Junior Rangers earn awards such as pins, certificates, and patches as they progress through the program. Programs are held rain or shine and it’s FREE!
